Our Lending Library of Over 8,000 Tools
Check out everything you need for your Home-Improvement, DIY, Lawn & Garden, and Pinterest Projects! Tools are checked out for a 7-day period and returned to the same location.
Our Workshop Space
Build in community - no need to give up your garage. Both locations have on-site equipment (like table saws, jointers, and lathes) for member use.
Tool and Project Advice
Our members, staff, and volunteers share their skills, experience, and knowledge to support each other. Whether you're an experienced tradesperson or haven't ever held a hammer - we have a place for you at the library.

Entry & Parking

The Tool Library is located in the main level of the Thorp Building, on the 1620 Central Ave side (slightly north of Diamonds Coffee Shoppe). Parking is available in the lot to the side or rear of the building as well as on-street. Visitors can enter from the front doors, the north side entrance (Dock#1) or at the rear of the building (Dock #13 will drop you right outside our suite). The prime parking area for NEMTL is behind the Tires & More shop on the corner of Central and 18th Ave. Pull into the side alley off Central between the Thorp building and the tire shop. Please note that traffic is one-way exiting onto 18th.

Due to construction, dock 1 parking is limited. Dock 13 or Dock 12 (next to Tattersall) are your best options for parking and entrance. *Please DO NOT park and block the dock 1 alley for unloading/loading.

Entry & Parking

The Tool Library is now located in the North End neighborhood, a block north of the Como/Front/Dale intersection. We are located on the lower level, at the back of the Capitol Lien Building. Our entrance is located off the alley - please come to the rear door of the building. Private parking is available for Tool Library Members and guests in the south lot. Short-term parking (15Min) for loading/unloading only is available at the back by the garage.
